Free & Easy "Home Town Home"

This would be my version of the "Man Cave" Surrounded by records and wood. My wife and I own thousands of records and every time we move we say we should get rid of some of them, but in the end we can't part with over 95% of them. Records are weird, I could pull out almost any record in my collection and tell you the day I got it, where I got it, who I was with, and what I did the rest of the day. This guy looks like he has one hell of a collection and he did such a beautiful job building this room.

Tom Dixon Pressed Glass Light Top

I got an email earlier today from the folks over at Tom Dixon letting me know about some new product. This light is so dope, I love the pressed glass. They say they are made at a plant that makes headlamps and insulators and it makes sense, when I first looked at them I was instantly reminded of old school insulators. If you can't tell, I love some blue glass and I actually have a nice collection of insulators, so these lights are right up my alley.

So I finally found a ceiling light to replace the stock piece that was hanging since maybe the 80's. I don't understand how and where you find a light so insanely terrible looking but hey at least I found something to go in its place. I found this light a few months ago while in LA and I finally installed it. I absolutely love it. The bulb sits really deep so the light is really soft and it creates this really great glow on the inside of the fixture.
Next on my living room list..
1. Coffee/Cocktail table/s
2. Get around to hanging some artwork
3. Window treatments

Ikea Fall 2010

I found these scans over at Solid Frog and couldn't believe that they were from the new Ikea catalogue. I'm sure a lot of these items are vintage that they mixed in, but the styling is great!
