Mercury Glass

Available @ Red Barn Mercantile

Available @ Modern 50

Just got back from the Ft. Greene flea market and I did pretty well for myself. Got a nice M-65 Field Jacket from Vietnam (in perfect condition), a wooden milk crate from an old Staten Island glass company, and a Better Homes and Garden "Decorate Your Home" book from the 60s with super fresh images (will post some soon) When I was there I came across an amazing vintage Mercury Glass bottle that wasn't for sale. Now I'm on the hunt. They are priced way too high online but I'm officially on a mission to track a few of these down.

Firewood

I don't actually have a fireplace that burns wood but I love the way stacked firewood looks. Right now I have my TV above where the fireplace used to be (hard to explain). Maybe I can throw some logs under the TV? Might be weird but after looking at these pictures I might have to give it a try.

Ray and Charles Eames

Ray's home office
Charles' home office via emmas

This is the perfect example of why working in groups is sometimes better than working solo. Look at the difference between these guys work spaces. Ray's workspace is super cluttered and a total mess while Charles' workspace is nice and neat. At the end of the day these guys came together and complemented each other perfectly.

The Japanese come correct yet again. How incredible is that filing cabinet?! These items aren't priced very high but I'm sure the shipping cost would make you sick.

Martyn Thompson

I was curious who shot a lot of the Ralph Lauren Home advertisements. After doing a little searching I finally came across Martyn Thompson's website. His site had tons of great images of incredible spaces he has shot over the years.
