Where I Stay: The Living Room

So here are a couple of photos of my living room. I just got done painting the moldings and doors black. As you can see I need to get some of the old white paint up off of the floor, but other than that I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I finally feel like the Living Room is coming together a little bit. On the mantel I've got an old photo of Diamond Head Hawaii, and a great piece that my friend Matzu did for me a few years ago.
In the other shot I hung up an old map of New York I got a while back off of Ebay and an old school chair compliments of the public school on South 2nd btw Berry and Wythe in Williamsburg Brooklyn.

New York Times: Viennese Attic Apartment

I guess this "Attic" apartment is ok for $600 per month. What!!? Check out the rest of the photos here.

FADO Table Lamp @ Ikea

I've always really liked the simplicity of this lamp. For $19.99 I might need to grab one or two and give them a shot. I figure if I don't like them inside they might be kind of perfect for the patio.

Glass Blown Speakers by John Pomp

Nine designers and five musicians reinterpret the Ceramic Speakers, designed by Joey Roth. These glass blown speakers done by John Pomp are hands down my favorite. Check out more about the "Sounds Like" exhibit here.

Classic: The ES 102 Intermediate Swivel Arm Chair

@ Eames Office

This chair is perfect. The Charles and Ray Eames chair was introduced in 1968, discontinued in 1973 due to high production costs. I want one.

Swans Island Summer Blankets

available @ Swans Island

I'm really into these "Summer Blankets" They are priced a little high but I've heard good things about the quality.

CB2: Stratus Bed

I'm kind of feeling this new bed frame from CB2. What do you guys think? It's so hard for me to find a bed frame that I like. My wife and I have a King Size bed so finding something vintage is extra challenging. Might need to go to check this out in person.
