Artwork For The Crib: Vintage Porsche Prints

I grew up with Porsche in my blood. When I was a kid we lived in a tiny house on Long Island and when my parents finally started to make some money the first big purchase my dad made was a 1985 911 Targa, Red with Saddle interior. I was only 6 years old but I vividly remember the day he got it. He came in the house and scooped us all up and we drove around all day. I remember sitting in it out in the garage and looking at all the beautiful details. I remember loving how the back tail light said Porsche across it. Ever since then I can't help but stop and look as one drives by, or walk up to a parked Porsche and take a good look at it.
I came across these prints online while looking for a gift for my father. I wish these weren't so damn expensive. Here are some different styles and more budget friendly replicas that will have to do for now.

Environment Furniture

Cina Sofa

This was one of my favorite pieces, the fabric is recycled army canvas. If you look close some of the fabric still has faded US and number stamps on it. I really liked the vintage fabrics with the super polished chrome legs. This sofa was also super deep and comfortable as hell.
360 Stool

The Oak on these stools looked very nice.
Cina Loveseat & Chaise

They had this piece with vintage Levi denim fabric. Wasn't sure if it was for me but looked great in person.
Tripolina Chair

I don't own a butterfly chair yet but have always wanted one, this was a nice option. I've always liked a butterfly chair in leather but this canvas option has me thinking otherwise.
Pacifica Loveseat

More of that recycled army canvas.

Turkish Patchwork Rug

This was probably my favorite thing in the whole store. This image is kind of crumby, I had the salesman email this over. They had several patchwork rugs that were super dope. The price is on another planet though. I think they range from $5k-$7k

Yesterday I stumbled upon the Environment Furniture showroom in Atlanta. I didn't even realize they have a place right near Union Square in NYC till looking at the catalog that I grabbed on the way out. Some of the furniture is so on point and some of their furniture is just so wrong. The prices are pretty high but if there is a showroom near you I think it's worth checking out.

I'm not usually a fan of DIY's because I'm not the most handy or patient dude. This one here looks incredible and doesn't appear to be very hard. When I was in high school and college I built so many things out of plumbing pipe, and it's super easy to use, it's budget friendly, and looks great in my opinion. I'm building this in my bedroom as soon as I get back to NY, no question.

I included one of these images in an "All Together" last week and felt like I had to post the rest of the pics from this amazing Lebanese home. I love those royal blue built in sofas and all the different patterns in all of the upholstery, rugs, and pillows. This place looks so warm and inviting.

His 60s and 70s portraits are so amazing. The outfits on some of these people are so fresh. If you are in NYC his work is part of the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art. If you are like me and can't afford his photos buy his book here.

Arne Norell Sofas

Arne Norell designed some of the nicest Sofas and Chairs ever, in my opinion. I love that they have a safari type style but they look a little bit more comfortable and practical.
