We ended up breaking out old music all trip long, one of my favorites from back in the day Dinosaur Jr. "Without a Sound"

A few weeks ago my family enjoyed one of the most incredible vacations of all time. This is what the trip looked like...sitting on the lanai listening to old albums, reading an amazing book, surfing perfect waves, trying not to have my nose burst into flames from the super strong sun (reason for the zinc) driving down dusty roads finding empty beaches, and eating amazing food EVERY DAY! The trip has all of us trying to figure out how we can spend a few months out of the year here.

I think these images are great. When it comes to designing my own space I always try to buy special objects. I try not to over think style, color, era, etc. I think if you have a collection of great quality interesting pieces you can't go wrong. I really like Florence Lopez for that very reason. I get the feeling that the rooms that she designs are more about the objects and less about whether or not they go together.

Chest of Drawers

Sorry for disappearing on you guys for a week. I'm in the middle of MOVING, ugh. We are only moving 7 blocks away, but as you all know moving is so incredibly brutal. This time more than past moves the excitement of being in the new place is outweighing the dread of packing, changing addresses, switching utilities, unpacking, organizing, cleaning..sigh. One of the only things that isn't the greatest about our new place is the lack of closet space, which means we are officially on the hunt for a new dresser drawer or two. This is where you guys come in, I came across this great piece (minus the weird guy in the singlet) over at Castle Gibson and it's sold out. Please help me find something that looks just like it. Don't let me down guys!!
