I have been searching for the perfect dining chair for years and this one might be it. Muji and Thonet have come together to make a modern version of the 150 year old classic. The chair once known as the 14, now known as the 214 will only be available in Japan, Germany, Paris and the UK. Too bad I live in the US!! sigh

Some of my best memories as a kid and young adult were spent in Vermont with my family and upstate NY with my boys at a friends cabin. It is very necessary to get out of the city every once and a while especially in the winter.
These are two amazing modern style cabins I came across. Maybe they will do a swap with me, they can stay in my mini Brooklyn apt and my wife and I can chill by the fire in their freshy cabin.

When walking past this building the other day I was reminded about the article in New York Mag I read a couple years back. Stories like this always blow me away, purchased by photographer Jay Maisel 42 years ago for 102 grand. Him and his family are still chilling in this massive 32,000 square foot home in the heart of downtown NYC. Check out the article and more of the pics here.
