Objects of Use

So I'm finally at a point where I'm happy with most pieces of furniture I have in the house. But when it comes to little odds and ends I'm not so happy. When you first move out of the parental units home most people end up buying a bunch of bullshit. You don't really have anything yet, so you get some wack ass dishes, some crumby pots and pans, a dollar store dust pan, a cheap vacuum etc.. But even though most of the stuff is crap it ends up lasting. So then you kind of feel shitty throwing stuff out and buying new, nicer stuff because you feel like you're being a big wasteful pig. Anywho, after this last move I finally got rid of tons of stuff that I hated and now I'm trying to only buy stuff I love! I want to have a super ill dust pan at this stage in my life. I want my scissors to be brass and look awesome. I want to own a really rad looking scale that I have no use for but looks really great on my counter. Objects of Use is a great place for stepping your home goods game up. Check out their stuff here

OTOTO

OTOTO is owned by two good friends Kirill & Lola. It's a carefully curated shop of found ceramics and textiles. They have some really great pieces. I'm looking forward to checking back in with them. See the rest of their inventory here.

Not Mad: Urban Outfitters

Sure most of the stuff in Urban Outfitters is janky as all hell, and made for 17 year olds, but they do have (some) good looking stuff. Shopping at Urban Outfitters is like thrifting. It's a huge store full of crap but if you really go through everything, you can score some nice pieces. Yeah the prices aren't like thrifting but hey what are you going to do. These are some that I'm into. All available @ UO
